Montreal Metro: Art and Architecture

Although I have always been a supporter of public transit, when I learned that each station in Montreal’s metro system was architecturally unique and had major art installations throughout, I turned into an ardent fan. For three years in a row, I hosted photo “walks” for MEETin Montreal to explore and photograph the art and architecture of sections of the metro system. While we tried to visit them all, there are a handful of stations on the far northwest side of the orange line and the far east side of the blue line I have yet to see.

Below are a few of my favorite photos from those three events, featuring the architecture, scale, color, and occasional moments in Montreal’s metro.
